I enjoyed the story but guessed some of the plot twists early on. Was the reveal satisfying for others or did it feel a bit rushed?

The mix felt fresh but also a little jarring at times. I wonder what inspired this particular combination of genres for middle grade readers.

It added a mystical layer to the story, but I'm curious whether this was planned from the start or evolved during writing.
