Que contient la notification
Votre notification doit identifier l'œuvre protégée, désigner le contenu contrefaisant sur AskAuthor (URL de préférence), indiquer vos coordonnées, affirmer de bonne foi que l'utilisation n'est pas autorisée, confirmer sous peine de parjure que vous êtes le titulaire ou son mandataire, et porter votre signature manuscrite ou électronique. Un élément manquant retarde l'examen.
Délais de réponse
Nous visons un traitement des notifications valides sous 24 heures.
Contre-notification
Si vous estimez que votre contenu a été retiré par erreur, vous pouvez envoyer une contre-notification. Elle doit identifier le contenu retiré, déclarer sous peine de parjure que le retrait est une erreur, indiquer vos coordonnées, accepter la juridiction d'un tribunal fédéral américain et porter votre signature. Si le plaignant d'origine ne saisit pas le tribunal sous 10 à 14 jours ouvrés, nous rétablissons le contenu.

AskAuthor respects intellectual property rights. We respond to valid takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
Designated Agent
In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2), AskAuthor has designated the following agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement. This agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.

How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice
Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
- Identification of the material on AskAuthor that you claim infringes your work, with enough detail to locate it (e.g., URL)
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
How to Submit
Email dmca@askauthor.io with subject "DMCA Takedown Notice". AskAuthor currently handles DMCA notices manually by email and does not provide an in-app DMCA form.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Identification of the removed material
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable federal court
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will restore content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(A), AskAuthor has adopted and reasonably implements a policy providing for the termination, in appropriate circumstances, of accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Users who receive multiple valid DMCA takedown notices may have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated, and any paid subscriptions forfeited, at AskAuthor’s sole discretion.
Misrepresentation Warning
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner, or AskAuthor, as a result of our reliance upon such misrepresentation. Submit notices and counter-notices only after carefully considering whether the use in question is actually infringing or non-infringing (e.g., fair use).
Response Time
We respond to valid notices within 24 hours.
