Creating Character Arcs

Weiland's approach to uniting story structure and character development is clear, but I'm curious what inspired her to organize it this way. Was it based on her own writing process or audience feedback?

The book uses a lot of different media to illustrate points, which is great but sometimes felt dense. Would love to hear if others found it easier to apply these ideas in their own writing.

The way Weiland breaks down arcs into different phases was eye-opening. Did anyone else feel more confident about planning character growth after reading this?
