The setting adds a layer of intimacy and suspicion that really heightens the suspense. I wonder if the author drew from real places or created this environment from imagination.

The slow build made the tension feel more real, but I’m curious if that was planned to develop characters or if it was just how the story unfolded.

It kept me second-guessing what was true, which made the story even more intense. I wonder what led to the decision to tell it through this perspective.
