Splintered Magic

The descriptions of the fae realm and magic systems felt detailed and lived-in. I wonder if the author had a whole lore bible or if it grew naturally during writing.

Her internal conflict added so much depth, but I'm curious what motivated the author to choose shapeshifting as her main trait over other supernatural abilities.

The slow burn made the payoff worth it, but I kept wondering if the characters would finally admit their feelings. Did anyone else feel invested in their relationship journey?
