The book has a pretty steamy vibe, but I wondered what inspired the choice to keep the story both passionate and lighthearted at the same time.

I was curious whether the author intentionally played with typical tropes or aimed to subvert them in some way. What did others think of his character development?

The location felt glamorous and almost like a character itself. I wonder if real places or stories influenced the setting choice.
