Campbell's portrayal of mental resilience in extreme conditions is compelling. I'm curious how much of that was based on real experiences or pure imagination.

The icy landscape creates such a sense of isolation, but I wonder if it also amplifies the characters' fears and paranoias. Would the story have been as effective in a different setting?

The slow build-up kept me on edge, but I’m curious if others felt it was the right choice for maintaining suspense or if it dragged at points.
