The book had a playful tone but also tackled some serious themes. I’m curious if others found the humor made the darker scenes more impactful or if it felt inconsistent.

Most vampire stories lean serious or dark, so I wonder what motivated the choice to make them so fabulous and funny. Did it come from a desire to subvert tropes or just for fun?

The way abilities seemed to reflect characters’ traits made the story feel more layered. Did the author plan this connection from the start or discover it as the story unfolded?
