It made me reflect on how rare it is to see such genuine representation in YA fiction. Did the book resonate with anyone else's experiences or feelings about identity and love?

The artistic backdrop added a unique layer to the story, but I'm curious whether Nina LaCour drew from her own experiences or if it was purely fictional world-building.
