The way she weaves themes of trust and identity through a fantastical setting feels so intentional. I'm curious if she aimed to subtly teach kids about complex ideas or if it just evolved naturally.

The setting feels so vivid and alive, like a place I could really visit. I wonder how much of the world was mapped out beforehand versus discovered during writing.
