The selection process must have been tough with so many iconic dishes. I wonder what criteria he used to pick these particular recipes and how he balanced popularity with personal favorites.

The recipes look approachable enough for home cooks, but I’m curious if this book actually motivated readers to get into the kitchen and attempt these recreations.

Adding context about the dishes' origins or cooking tricks can make the experience more engaging. I wonder if this was Andrew Rea’s way of making the book more than just a recipe collection.
