Sulfur Springs

The atmosphere of quiet towns hiding dark secrets really adds to the suspense. I wonder if the author drew from real places or created it entirely from imagination.

The story seemed to take a breather before ramping up again. I'm curious if this was to build tension or flesh out the characters more deeply.

The plot kept me guessing, but I also felt connected to the characters' struggles. It's rare to find a book that does both so well.
