The traditional good vs. evil trope feels fresh here, but I'm curious how much of that complexity was planned from the start or evolved during writing.

The chemistry is undeniable, but the characters' struggles with their darker sides made me wonder if this adds to the emotional stakes or complicates the story.

The combination creates a unique atmosphere, and I'm interested in whether this was a deliberate choice to deepen the world-building or came naturally during writing.
