The depiction of adolescence and complex family issues felt very authentic. I wonder what inspired the author to focus on these themes so deeply.

I was really invested early on but found myself wanting more action or tension in the middle. Was that intentional to develop characters more fully?

The sense of place felt very vivid and lived-in. I'm curious whether the author based it on a real location or created it from imagination.
