Everybody Lies

The characters' hidden motives kept me guessing, and I'm curious whether this complexity was planned from the start or developed during writing.

The book made me think about how little we really know about those around us. Did others find themselves questioning the reliability of the characters' accounts?

The pacing felt just right, but I wonder how much emphasis was placed on revealing character backstories versus advancing the plot.
