A Hellish Year One

The demons felt both familiar and fresh, which made me wonder how much of their design was influenced by existing myths versus original creation.

There were parts where the tension seemed to dip, but I wonder if that was intentional to build character depth or world-building before ramping up again.

The mix of horror and romance was so compelling — I’d love to hear thoughts on how that balance is achieved to keep readers emotionally invested.
