The forensic science in the book feels authentic but also accessible. I wonder how much research went into crafting those scenes and how she keeps the story engaging while explaining complex procedures.

There was a stretch where the investigation seemed to stall, which made me curious whether that was intentional to build suspense or a pacing choice. How did others experience that part?

Knowing this is part of a long-running series, I’m curious how Reichs decided to develop this particular plotline while staying true to her characters' arcs.
