The characters' resilience and vulnerabilities felt so authentic. I wonder what inspired her to focus on these particular stories in post-war Britain.

The pacing made me really sit with the characters' emotional journeys, but I’m curious if others found it contemplative or a bit sluggish.

The setting felt so vividly real and integral to the story. I’d love to know if Barker based it on a real place or if it was entirely fictional.
