The way the characters' hidden feelings surfaced during the trip made me wonder if vacations always reveal our true selves. Did others feel the same?

Switching between characters gave a fuller picture, but I’m curious if that was planned from the start or developed during writing.

The lush scenery added so much to the atmosphere. I wonder if the setting was influenced by personal travels or a desire to evoke a specific mood.
