The harsh and isolated setting amplifies the horror, but I wonder if the author drew from real Siberian legends or personal experiences.

The description made them feel both alien and horrifyingly tangible. I’m curious whether the author envisioned these creatures from scratch or was inspired by existing mythologies.

The pacing kept me on edge, but I wonder what thought process led to revealing just enough to keep curiosity high without giving everything away too soon.
