The range from knights to tradesmen gives a lively sense of medieval society. I wonder what motivated him to showcase all these different voices in one story.

The layered narratives and poetic form made the tales feel alive, but I’m curious if others found the structure easy to follow or a bit dense at times.

Chaucer’s satire seems sharp yet authentic. I wonder how much research he did to portray these characters so vividly and accurately.
