The concept of portals is so fascinating and versatile — I wonder what led the author to explore this particular twist on science fiction and fantasy.

Some decisions seemed to come out of nowhere, which pulled me out of the story. Was that just me, or did others notice a pacing shift here?

The technical details added depth but never overwhelmed the plot. I'm curious how the author approached integrating science without bogging down the narrative.
