The historical backdrop adds so much atmosphere and depth. I wonder how much research went into capturing the era's details and how it influenced the plot.

The suspense picked up again towards the end, but I found the middle sections a bit slow. Was that intentional to build atmosphere or character development?

The shifting viewpoints kept things interesting, but I’m curious whether this structure was planned from the beginning or evolved during writing.
