The protagonist’s fixation on food feels so visceral and real. I wonder if the author drew from personal experiences or research to capture that obsession authentically.

Her ambition and setbacks felt very real, but I couldn’t tell if her reactions were intentionally exaggerated for humor or if that’s how she truly would behave.

The book made me laugh but also touched on some poignant moments. I’m curious whether that tone was planned from the start or evolved during writing.
