Lynda La Plante's portrayal feels very visceral and realistic—I'm curious whether her research influenced the story or if it was drawn from personal experience.

The tension picked up again towards the end, but I found myself wondering if the slower middle was meant to build character depth or suspense.

The multiple viewpoints added layers to the story but also made me question how much of the story was intentional versus spontaneous during writing.
