Leroy Aarons was an American journalist, editor, and author known for his nonfiction work Prayers for Bobby. He founded the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association and was a founding member of the Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education. He was inducted into the NLGJA Hall of Fame in 2005.
