The novel presents a world where privacy is almost nonexistent. I'm curious whether the author drew from current societal trends or imagined a more extreme future.

The characters' reliance on and obsession with the eyes watching them made me wonder about our own relationship with technology today. Am I the only one who felt this hit a little too close to home?

The multiple viewpoints provided a layered understanding of the society Schweblin depicts. I wonder if the author intentionally structured it this way to show contrasting experiences.
