Connelly's vivid descriptions really brought the setting to life. I'm curious if he based it on real locations or crafted it entirely from imagination.

I loved the character development, but those sections felt a bit drawn out. Was that intentional to build tension or just how the story naturally unfolded?

The mystery kept me guessing, but I wondered whether the pacing of revelations was planned to maximize suspense or if it evolved during writing.
