The creatures feel both terrifying and fascinating — I wonder what inspired their design and abilities, and how much was mapped out beforehand.

The line between good and evil is so blurred in this series, and I kept questioning whether the protagonist's actions made sense or felt justified.

The world-building feels so rich — I’m curious whether the author planned the series from the start or developed it as they wrote.
