The mentor character walks a fine line between support and manipulation, which really made me think about real-life power dynamics. I wonder what inspired the author to explore this complex relationship.

The suspense built up early on but then seemed to take a breather in the mid-section. I'm curious if that was intentional to develop characters or an editing choice.

Shifting viewpoints added layers to the story but also made me question how much of the plot was planned versus evolved during writing.
