The detailed politics and the Shadow worlds made me wonder how much of Zelazny's own imagination was behind the richness of the setting.

The dynamic between the princes added so much tension, but I’m curious whether this was planned from the beginning or evolved during writing.

The shifting perspectives and layered worlds kept me guessing, but I’d love to hear if others found the mechanics clearer as the story progressed.
