Sidney Sheldon's The Phoenix

The book captures Sheldon’s signature suspense and twists, but I wonder what choices the author made to stay true to his voice while making it her own.

The story seemed to take a breather before ramping up again. I'm curious if that was intentional to build tension or just a natural part of the plot.

Her actions felt conflicted and layered, which made her more human. Did anyone else find themselves sympathizing with her despite her choices?
