The book keeps things fun and fast-paced, but I wonder how much of that was planned from the start versus evolving during writing.

Their creative approaches to the science fair challenges made me root for them. I’m curious if Pearson drew from real experiments or stories.

It’s such a relatable and lively environment that adds so much energy to the story. I wonder if the author based it on a specific event or just loved the idea of a big school competition.
