The story moves at a breakneck speed, but I wonder if that was planned from the start or something that evolved during writing. It kept me on the edge of my seat!

The plot was intense, but I was curious about what drives the antagonist beyond the surface. Was that intentional to keep them mysterious?

The urban environment felt so vivid and alive, I wonder if Patterson drew from real cityscapes or crafted it entirely from imagination.
