The magic feels so deep and well-thought-out — I wonder what inspired its unique rules and limitations, and how much was planned from the start.

The characters’ pursuit of power kept me hooked, but also made me uneasy about how easily things could spiral out of control. Am I the only one who felt this tension?

It added so much depth to the world, but I wonder if this was a conscious choice to immerse readers right away or if it developed during writing.
