The humor is so sharp and the world-building so vivid—I'm curious how much of that was planned from the start or evolved during writing.

The way the dragon is portrayed adds layers to the story’s humor and satire. It made me wonder if there's a deeper message about misunderstood creatures.

The humor feels very pointed at authority figures and bureaucracy. I'm interested in how Terry Pratchett intended these parallels to resonate with readers.
