The blend of mythology and futuristic society is so rich and detailed. I wonder what inspired Richelle Mead to create this unique universe and how much of it evolved during writing.

The relationships felt complicated and layered, but at times I wondered if the romance was driven more by control and politics than real affection. Would love to hear others' thoughts.

The story raises big questions about belief and power structures. I'm curious if these themes were part of the initial outline or developed organically as the story progressed.
