The city’s atmosphere adds so much to the mood of the novel. I wonder if the author drew from personal experience or extensive research to capture its essence.

The tension picks up again later, but I found myself wondering if the slower sections were meant to build character or mood.

The plot twists kept me guessing, but I’m curious about how much was planned from the start versus developed during writing.
