The poems give each student a distinct voice, but I wonder if the choice to tell the story this way made it harder to connect with the characters at times. Did anyone else feel that?

Their journey from hiding behind masks to embracing their true selves was so moving. I’m curious if this resonated differently with other readers based on their own experiences.
