The romance and political scheming both felt so fleshed out — I wonder if that was planned from the start or if one influenced the other as it developed.

There were moments where I wondered if the characters would ever trust each other completely. Did others find the emotional stakes convincing or a bit overwhelming?

The retelling elements added a unique layer to the story, but I’m curious whether these were inspired by specific myths or folklore, or if they evolved during writing.
