The balance between suspense and emotional connection felt so natural. I'm curious if that was a conscious choice to deepen the stakes or if it evolved during writing.

The story had such a gripping start and ending, but I found the middle a bit slower. Wondering if that was a deliberate pacing decision to build tension.
