There were moments when I loved the protagonist's bravery but also felt uneasy about some of their decisions. How did others interpret their moral dilemmas?

The lighthearted moments provided great relief amid tense scenes. I'm curious whether that was deliberate to balance the tone or a natural part of the characters' personalities.
