The chemistry is undeniable, but the characters' struggles with their darker sides made me wonder if this adds to the emotional stakes or complicates the story.

The combination creates a unique atmosphere, and I'm interested in whether this was a deliberate choice to deepen the world-building or came naturally during writing.
