The stories feel both standalone and part of a bigger world. I wonder what inspired the way they interweave and build the setting.

The lightheartedness added a charming touch, but I’m curious if it also made some of the darker themes easier to overlook.

The visuals really brought the stories to life. I wonder if Pullman had specific ideas for how the illustrations should complement the narrative.
