Some scenes had me on edge, but I wondered if the emotional stakes were exaggerated or if that’s just how the story was meant to feel.

The intimacy made the secrets feel more personal, but I’m curious if that was a conscious decision to heighten the suspense or if it evolved naturally.

I was engrossed overall, but some chapters seemed to drag. Would love to hear what the author aimed for with the story’s flow.
