The way the characters clash and then connect was really compelling, but I wonder if the sports backdrop added extra stakes for others too.

The setting adds so much energy and tension, I’m curious whether this was based on personal experiences or purely fictional world-building.

The pacing felt just right, but I’d love to know if the sports action was written first or if it grew around the romance.
