The pacing felt very tight, but I wondered how much thought went into weaving the suspense and romance seamlessly. Did the author aim for equal emphasis or lean one way?

There were moments where trust seemed to be a gamble, and I kept wondering if I’d react the same way in that situation. Were these decisions believable or a bit too convenient?
