The atmosphere feels so tense and claustrophobic—I'm curious if the author based it on any real place or created it entirely from imagination.

It added a layer of depth but also made me wonder how much of it is rooted in local legends versus pure fiction.

I found myself wanting more action, but maybe the author was going for a creeping dread that unfolds gradually.
