The details about the different tribes and powers felt really immersive. I wonder how much of it was planned out or developed during writing.

The emotional stakes felt so high, especially with the characters' conflicting duties and desires. I'm curious what drove that thematic choice.

The story seemed to pause for a while before picking up again. Do others think that was intentional to build suspense or just the natural flow?
