The world-building is so rich and layered, I wonder whether the political intrigues evolved alongside the romance or were planned from the start.

Some of the characters' decisions felt morally gray, which made me question what I’d do in their place. Am I the only one who was unsettled by some of their actions?

The detailed hierarchy and abilities felt both mythic and believable. I wonder what sources or ideas influenced Singh's take on angelic lore.
